notice the car plate! amazing huh? i still have yet to figure out how the car plate numbers n letters works here in NZ.

read e story of the "maori creation story"! i've learnt that in my maori lecture too! amy n myself got so excited over it. =p
yea! and thats what happened to my shoes. spilt open. so i had to pull the whole shoe sole off, so that i could walk on.

Mt Cook is approaching us. no! we're approaching Mt Cook.
well, we didnt really know which was Mt Cook, there other snow capped Mountain ard too. but i figured Mt Cook is Mt Cook cos i've seen Mt Cook in pictures and it looks the prettiest

all these are part of Fordland National Park. i'm quite sure this place can be as big as Sentosa, or even bigger.

thats me n an autume trees. i'm just so amased by trees during autume! how they change colours n e different colours there is.
after a few hours drive, its time to conquer Mt Cook!

as it was sunday, there's a bazzar going on.
i love such bazzar. lots of crafts, hand made things, plants etc etc.

had fish & chips for dinner... we had our dinner in e car. it was so cold outside.
next morning, in e dew, look carefully at what it says on e window! yuppie!

on our trip back from the glasier, thr e forest n mountain, to the main road. well the return journey wasn't as bad as the going journey, cos this time, it was all down steps. but by e time i reached the main road, i was damn tired. partly becos e boots were hurting my toes. look at my tired face in e photo.
but it wasnt too bad. i was welcomed by e beautiful sunset. =)
and i can proudly say, i conquered the fox glasier. my 4hrs hike! i have a cert for it too!

see that hold? looking in, its deep and so amazing.
well, closer up, those black black on e ices are not dirt, they are minerals. known to be good for one's complexation. pple actually pay a lot for it. and we get it free here!

its so nice.
its cold, but somehow the cold, is a comfortable cold. a feel of cold that is special.

well, e area of fox glasier is as big as the size of Christchurch city. imagine how huge that is!
well, but it is predicted that these ice has been and will be melting. should be able to last for only 50 more years. partially becos of global warming etc.
well, sam showed us where e glasier ice were during the 1950s. comparing to where it is today. wow! e difference!

now! i'm on the glasier. i'm on it! i'm actually on it.
e moment we got to the actual glasier, suhui and myself felt that that so shiong walk is all worthwhile.
this place is awesome!
its all ice! tons of ice!

we're just next to the glasier now. after a 1h30min shiong walk.
so we had to put on this sharp sharp thing on our boots, to enable us to walk on the slippy melting glasier ice. cool huh?

and so we reached, or rather nearer to Fox Glasier.

yea! me and e buses. one is with the Fox Glasier bus, e other with Franz Josef Glasier bus.
Franz Josef Glasier is approximately half an hour drive from Fox Glasier. so we drove there early in e morning and back to Fox Glasier, in time for our Tramping Walk!

this trip was a super last min decision. in fact in a matter of an hour of deciding and leaving! its amazing. i've never walked home so fast before, in e cold. hehe.
yea! and so! my 1st trip with Amy. and of course with suhui, my beloved driver and ling, my backseat partner. =)
thats amy n me, with my rum & raisin ice cream. eating ice cream in e cold is shiok. its huge!
yea! and this place is fox glasier base/town. nice huh? its very very tourist. in fact, everything here is for tourist. don't seem to have any residence or houses.

dinner! my crispy noodles is yummy yummy yummy. i like the "now u see it, not u don't" effect.
e other bowl is black bean noodles ling had. u shld see how much chilli powder she added. =p

and e last plate is Khmer beef satay. it taste different. there's e taste of satay, but still different. had this with veronica on... fri?

after a horrible day! working on my Maori essay and over some other stuff, its baking time! with ling
